Our co-workers left for a furlough after we had been here for less than a year. It definitely gave us an uneasy feeling as they were about to leave. Looking back though, it was one of the best things for our language acquisition. We didn't have them to lean on, so it pushed us a little further. The Stover Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533316064022819426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924596996596473615.post-38325730458994175732008-10-22T01:05:00.000-07:002008-10-22T01:05:00.000-07:00I knew Grandpa fought in the Pacific but didn't kn...I knew Grandpa fought in the Pacific but didn't know specifically that he was in the Marshall Islands. The Stover Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533316064022819426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924596996596473615.post-38122403850628804322008-10-21T12:54:00.000-07:002008-10-21T12:54:00.000-07:00The encouragement to "Make the mastery of that lan...The encouragement to "Make the mastery of that language part of your ministry philosophy and don’t be deterred from it" was just what I needed! We are only in our 7th week of language study and we are feeling so overwhelmed and the thought that our co-workers are going home on furlough in June is so scary. So much I could say but I won't go on and on especially since I should be heading towards study time. :-)Karishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04594849577438057227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-924596996596473615.post-26791617839130914632008-10-20T14:56:00.000-07:002008-10-20T14:56:00.000-07:00my father got saved about a year before he died at...my father got saved about a year before he died at age 52.....he fought in wwII and spent alot of time on the marshall islands.....after he got saved he wondered if missionaries made it there yet.....how cool to read that entry.....dad stoverAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
